DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
Drivers must meet all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
Valid CDL Class A License w/ Doubles Endorsement
Possess a current and valid DOT Physical Card
Must be willing to submit and pass drug testing
Must have a clean driving record
Must be able to pass a background check
One (1) year in the past three (3) years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience, or
Five (5) years in the past ten (10) years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience, or
Six (6) months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience and certification from a FedEx-approved driving school.
Must be at least 23 years of age
DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of the line haul operations, a line haul driver is in charge of transporting materials, ensuring timelines and efficiency from one FedEx location to another.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Transport deliveries OTR.
Obtain and verify proper and correct documentation and paperwork for each load you are hauling.
Adhere to the route assigned.
Safely back up your trailer to a dock that might be surrounded by other trucks and in small spaces.
Ensure the quality and safe delivery of all cargo you are transporting.
It is essential that drivers follow all company safety measures, DOT regulations, traffic laws, and all FedEx protocols in place for the company to keep them and others safe.
It will also be the driver's responsibility to continue company-provided safety training on a scheduled basis.
